References...
Percent Distribution of 'Primary' Skills
83% of stations 'Primary' focus is on Skating, Stickhandling,
Shooting and Passing.
Percent Distribution of 'Secondary' Skills
Over 92% of the stations 'Secondary' focus also involves
Skating, Stickhandling, Shooting and Passing.
('Secondary'
skills are skills performed along with the execution of the 'Primary'
skill.)
Note: Even though it appears that there is little focus on
FUN... It is critical!  There are a few stations aimed at
pure FUN, however the coaches attitude and drill variation
before player boredom sets in is critical to an enjoyable
hockey practice experience.
Target rotating young players between stations every 5-6
minutes and older players up to 12 minutes.  You will notice
that at 5-6 minutes there is not a lot of time for verbal
instruction... Don't bother.  Line them up- demonstrate and
correct mistakes as the drill is running.
